Granola

My dear friend asked for this recipe on instagram this afternoon, I could not even imagine that it was not on the blog yet! This recipe is so easy, healthy and very filling- it can be enjoyed with milk, smoothie or yoghurt. Thanks Sis- here you go!

Ingredients 4 Servings

  • Rolled oats quick oats works as well 4 cups
  • Peanuts, Cashewnuts other nuts work as well 1-2 cup
  • Honey agave/ golden syrup works as well 1/2 cup
  • Nutmeg cinnamon, vanilla, mace or your flavour of choice 1 tsp

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 180C for 10 minutes. Mix 1 cup of nuts with 4 cups of oats, 1/2 cup of honey and 1 teaspoon of nutmeg.

Step 2

Spread out mixture on oven tray (cover the tray with foil or parchment paper). Place in the oven to cook for 20minutes; stirring intermittently (every 5minutes).

Alternatively, cook in a frying pan on low/ medium heat, stirring every 3 minutes so the flavour is even and to prevent burning.

Step 3

Allow to cool. You can add some dried fruits. Store in an airtight container. Consume within 2weeks for the crunchiest and freshest gastronomic experience.
