Yaji Potatoes

In Nigeria, Yaji is a renowned spice used for a famous roasted sliced beef delicacy called suya.

The flavour of yaji is phenomenal; oh how sensational your tastebuds would feel as you munch on this yaji potatoes- crispy skin, soft yummy on the inside…

 

INGREDIENTS            2 Servings

  • Potatoes                     6 medium
  • Mixed herbs                        1 tsp
  • Yaji Spice                        2 tbsps
  • Salt                                  to taste
  • Olive oil                             1 tbsp

 

Step 1

Preheat your oven at 230C degrees for 5minutes while cut the potatoes into eight wedges each ( you can leave the skin on, just make sure to properly wash it). Sprinkle salt, mixed herbs, yaji spice and a tablespoon of olive oil; jumble the potatoes so they are evenly coated.

Step 2

Cover your oven tray with foil or parchment paper. Lightly oil the pan with olive oil cooking spray or use a brush to oil the surface. Spread out the potatoes on the oiled tray and bake for 20minutes.
