Yaji Syrup

Oh yes! You can have the best of both worlds… Sweet and spicy! Haha😂 This is my newest embrace of flavour balance (why did it take so long for me to realize this good life 🤦- been missing out🙆).

This is the revolutionary flavour for you if you enjoy a healthy amount of spice, and have a sweet-tooth as well.  You are just 3 ingredients away from the best syrup you’ll ever try!

Ingredients 1 Servings

  • Granulated white sugar 1 cup
  • Water 1/2 cup
  • Yaji spice 3 tbsps

Step 1

Pour water into a small saucepan till it starts to simmer. Add in sugar and mix till it dissolves. Leave to boil for 10minutes- this would give you a clear, slightly golden syrup consistency.

Boil for 10 minutes, stirring intermittently

Step 2

Mix in yaji spice gently. Allow to syrup to cool down.

Smooth Yaji Syrup… the grains in this photo is from the yaji spice, not sugars.

Step 3

Store your favourite syrup in an airtight jar and keep in a cool dry place for up to 6months. Or live your best life and pour it over this yummy savoury pancake 😉
