Cabbage suya wraps


Wraps are one of my favourite things to pack for lunch- they are super easy and quick, and I can just throw in my favourite ingredients under wraps. My go-to flavourful tortilla wraps and suya shawarma would make any guests happy anyday.

Yeah. Not everyone likes to eat flour tortillas; this may be due to diet preferences or health challenges. Swapping tortilla wraps with fresh vegetables like cabbage/ lettuce is a great option- you still get all the flavour of the filling without flour. Such a win win.

This is especially perfect when hosting your family and friends, make this cabbage wraps for your older family members while you make suya shawarma wraps for the other folks.



  • Cabbage leaves       3
  • Mince suya               150g
  • Carrot                         1 (sliced)
  • Yajinnaise sauce      3 tbsps
  • Sausages                   3


Step 1

Assemble the sliced vegetables and sauces while you make oven mince suya. 

P.s: The cook time for sausage would depend on what type you use. If you don’t have an oven, fry the seasoned mince on stovetop with 2 tsp of oil in a frying pan.

Step 2

Place cabbage leaves flat open. Start with onecabbage leaf; layer the vegetables, followed by 1 tbsp of sauce, then the mince suya topped with another tablespoon of sauce. Roll up the cabbage leaves to enclose all the yummy filling.

Step 3

Serve on a plate; leave one end open or slice halfway into the wraps so everyone can see what yummy filling they are about to bite into- so visually appealing. Even more appealing to your tastebuds when you bite into the fresh crunchy goodness.
